Job Description

We are seeking skilled and dependable carpenters to join our team. You will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and metal across a variety of construction projects. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials accurately.
• Build and install structures such as framing, walls, floors, roofs, and formwork.
• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, and other finish carpentry elements.
• Construct and dismantle concrete forms and scaffolding as needed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades on-site.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment.
• Assist with general construction tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of carpentry experience (or apprenticeship experience) preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Biddeford, ME.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
